A place to Rest, Restore and Rebalance.
I am Eloise (Ellie) the proud owner of Elliement Reflexology .
I am a fully insured level 5 Clinical Reflexologist and a member of the Association of Reflexologists.
Following a busy 34yr career in nursing, working in community, oncology and at a high level in palliative/hospice care. Illness caused me to take a step back and re-evaluate my life.
Throughout my career I had seen first hand the amazing benefits of holistic/complementary therapies when used alongside conventional medicine. During my recovery, I turned to holistic/complementary therapies to support my body physically and emotionally. I was blown away by the effects of clinical reflexology and in 2022 I took a leap of faith to train as a level 5 clinical reflexologist with Contemporary Reflexology College.
Having successfully completed my Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology and gaining Centralia Reflexology Mastership ( CRM5 Dip). I now welcome clients to my home to experience the magic of reflexology. I am passionate about working with you to develop your bespoke treatment plan to support your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. If you would like to dip your toe in the water and add a little reflexology to your life. I would love to hear from you.
Thanks Ellie x
Reflexology can be traced back to ancient civilisations, with evidence of it's use being found in Egyptian tombs as far back as 2500BC. Modern reflexology is based on the principle that there are zones and reflexes in the hands, feet and ears that correspond directly to all organs, glands and different parts of the body. The Stimulation of reflexes, through specialised pressure, sends neurological messages to the brain, which relays messages to the area of the body that may be imbalanced.
Reflexology aims to bring relaxation and balance to the body. Supporting your wellbeing in a safe and natural way. Reflexology is a therapy that can be used to support all ages and has been shown to aid sleep, improve mood and release tension. whilst encouraging relaxation and a sense of wellbeing.
As a clinical reflexologist, I am dedicated to supporting all my clients holistically, not just by symptom and condition. Working the reflexes stimulates and boosts circulation. Promoting relaxation and encouraging your body to rebalance. As a professional practitioner, I will always advocate that reflexology works alongside conventional medicine. It never replaces it.
Reflexology is a wonderful way of maintaining your body's healthy balance and general wellbeing, reducing the stresses and tensions that come with busy lifestyles and giving us a space to reflect on the mind as well as the body.
Reflexology can induce a deep state of relaxation, which improves the effectiveness of the treatment. Relaxing helps relieve tension and aids circulation, increasing the flow of nutrients, oxygen and energy to all parts of the body, and helping with the removal of toxins.
While it is not a cure, Reflexology can be particularly helpful in managing many health conditions, especially constant or recurring ones that we might have come to accept over time as being a normal part of life.

Prior to your first appointment I will send you an online questionnaire to complete and return.
This includes a data protection form. This will help me to understand how I can best support you and also check if there are any contraindications to treatment.
Other treatments are available such as reflexology to support cancer patients and palliative care. Including home visits by arrangement. Please contact me to discuss.
Initial Treatment - (please allow 90 minutes)
When you arrive we will take time to go through your consultation form and answer any questions you might have. I will then invite you to take your shoes and socks off and settle you into the extremely comfortable lafuma (specialised reflexology chair) or treatment couch. You will be given the option to be tucked up with lovely fluffy blankets (heated in the winter months). As you relax into the chair, whilst applying lovely organic foot balm, I will invite you to to take part in some breathing exercises with me, to calm both body and mind. I will then begin to apply specialist pressure to the reflexes. with a calming investigatory treatment. This will help me identify areas within the body that may be out of balance, providing a better understanding of your overall health and wellbeing.
During the treatment I will be led by you. Most clients like to close their eyes and relax. Some fall asleep. however you may find that you wish to chat a little. This is all fine. Remember, this is your time.
I will close the treatment with a relaxing foot and lower leg massage, using revitalising, organic lotion. Finishing by wrapping your feet in a fluffy towel and tucking you back into your blanket. Taking time to chat through the treatment and answer any questions you may have before you leave.
Follow Up Treatments - (60 mins)
You may decide to book subsequent treatments to support your wellbeing. At your follow up treatment, I will take time to understand how you have been since your last treatment and go through your treatment plan with you. The plan will be revised at each subsequent treatment in line with your treatment aims.
Hand Reflexology - (45 mins)
Hand reflexology is an ideal treatment for people with foot sensitivities, injuries or infection. It is based on the same principles as foot reflexology and just as effective. It can be given as a stand alone treatment or in combination with foot and or auricular reflexology.
Auricular Reflexology plus Ear Seeding - (45 mins)
Auricular reflexology follows the same principles as foot reflexology, with reflexes mapped on the ear. It can be used as a stand alone treatment or in combination with hand or foot reflexology. Ear seeding is a non needle form of acupressure. Plant based ear seeds are placed on the ear to support a specific area of concern. They stay in place for up to 5 days and are a great way to continue your treatment as you leave Elliement.
NEPIP - ( 1hr)
NEPIP is a specialist reflexology treatment that is particularly effective for people who are suffering with the symptoms associated with stress and anxiety. It is a gentle relaxing treatment that brings together all the key body systems affected in a prolonged stress response. I will use calming and soothing techniques to support body and mind and bring you back to a state of balance. This is a a truly nurturing treatment only offered by level 5 practitioners.
Reiki - (1hr)
Reiki is the Japanese word for " Universal life energy." It is also a word to describe a form of natural healing. I am a level 2 practitioner and have trained in traditional Usui Reiki. Reiki can be used as a stand alone treatment or hand in hand with other complementary therapies such as reflexology. Both working holistically to bring about a sense of balance. Receiving reiki is simple. Whist lying fully clothed on a lafuma or couch I will place my hands on or above the chakra areas of your body. There is no massage or manipulation involved, just gentle touch. Benefits include deep relaxation, promoting calmness and a peaceful sense of wellbeing.

No. Professional reflexologists do not claim to diagnose or cure. Reflexology is a very individual treatment that may highlight if a particular area of your body is struggling. By working holistically, reflexology supports your body to rebalance. If an area shows a particular imbalance I will chat to you about it at the end of your session.
If you have an undiagnosed health concern, I would always advise to seek professional medical advice from your GP before your appointment.
Your treatment should be relaxing and not uncomfortable. During your treatment there may be areas that may feel a little ” tender or grainy.” This is normal and an indication that a reflex is “ out of balance” and needs a little more attention to help release the imbalance. Although the treatment is gentle and soothing, it shouldn’t tickle. Pressure can be adjusted from light, medium to firm, dependant on the individual.
Clients come to me with ticklish feet and have found they can relax into the treatment. Reflexology aims to produce a state of deep relaxation, helping to release tension, improve sleep, and increase your overall sense of well-being.
You will only need to remove your shoes and socks for your treatment. However I work up to your calf so please wear something loose and comfortable to enable you to relax into your treatment.
The response to reflexology and acupressure is different for everyone. The response can be immediate or take longer than one appointment. The effects of reflexology are cumulative and often benefits can be felt after 4 -6 sessions. Regular weekly sessions are most beneficial for the body to begin the self-healing process. Most people then move to 2 weekly or monthly maintenance sessions to support their ongoing wellbeing. Following your initial consultation and treatment I will suggest the number of reflexology sessions I think we should undertake but ultimately this is your decision.
I accept payment via bank transfer or cash. Payment in advance is required for gift vouchers or block bookings.
As a reflexologist, your health and wellbeing are very important to me. I understand that life happens and there will be times when you need to cancel your appointment due to an unexpected event. I am always happy to rearrange but if you need to cancel I respectfully request that you give me 48hrs notice.
Cancellations 24hrs before or on the day of your scheduled appointment will be charged at 100%. Payable to Elliement Reflexology by bank transfer on the day of the appointment.
